Santiago do Burgo Church

Built in the 12th century.

Located a few metres from the medieval bridge of O Burgo, this church takes us back to the Middle Ages. Built in the 12th century, like many others in the area and in the town hall itself, it underwent modifications in the 18th century, and more recently, in the 20th and 21st centuries, when it had to be restored due to a fire.

Its patron saint is Santiago, which is not strange as it is the starting point for pilgrims on their way to Santiago, the so-called Burgo de Faro, where O Burgo and El Temple are located today.
